Rini got married on 5th Dec to Mr Bobby. The function was attended by Zaniya & her mummy,Nandini gopinath,smitha PM, Rojitha, Neethu and Jyothis. The groom who's got a stylish accent looks a bit like our batchmate Sanal(ECE). Rini's planning to leave for US on 15th provided her passport and related formalities are done by then.

Congrats to JIJUMA for becoming a MCP. Jiju who is on his way to MCSD has now cleared one paper. Members of mescse yahoo group must have already read about this and the series of mails that followed. We all believe that Jiju is the first MCP of our class but Nachu says there's someone else....

Any guesses guys???

The annual alumni meet was held on the 3rd of november at the seminar hall in our college. Rahul and Zania were present from our class. Zania got the gold medal for the best academic performer from our class. Zania was present with her family. The toppers of 96 and 97 batch were given the medals. Md. Sali from ECE, Sumit from AEI and Arun from Mech were the other toppers from our batch. A lot of seniors right from the first batch were present.From our batch Mathew and Satheeshan from AEI were also present.

Apart from this, there were other functions like speeches from our principal, ex-principal Mammooty Sir and few other guests. Then there was a introduction session where all of us introduced ourselves. The alumni general body was selected. From our batch Mathew(AEI), Rahul and Arun(AEI) are members. Mathew is one of the two Vice Presidents. After that there was the comments / suggestions time which was a very active one. Then the most entertaining part of the programme: a dance by S3 girls. It was the Dil Chahta hai disco song ("koi kahe"). The girls performed really well. After that even more interesting session(u know what i mean) :FOOD. All were treated to a great lunch in the canteen.

Our Ex-principal Mamootty Sir is now a syndicate member of the Calicut University. This was announced during the alumni meeting. Mammoty Sir said that now finally he has got a chance to fight for the college from inside the university, in an obvious reference to the step-motherly treatment being meted out to our college by the university. Balakrishnan sir also mentioned about out TC marking and revaluation drama.

Another good news is that our college is now Kerala's 1st and only engineering college to get ISO 9000 certification. This is a very good indicator of our college's standard and status and, will definitely be a point worth mentioning to prospective employers during interviews etc.

Najma Sha has got a job as software sales engineer at Hipower Group of companies, Dubai.Najma has already joined and is now working there.

Ranjith has got a job in GE. Ranjit had already got placement in Satyam but they have delayed the joining due to IT recession. GE has a tie-up with Satyam, as a part of which few candidates who were selected for Satyam were called for interview by GE. Ranju was one of the lucky nine who got selected from a group of twenty.

Ranju has said goodbye to Satyam and will be joining GE soon.
